Description
This is an electric primed cartridge with an armor piercing, high explosive incendiary (APHEI) projectile. The projectile incorporates the setback and centrifugally armed, impact inertia fired, base detonating self destroying Model MD-30 fuze which includes a setback-initiated, pyrotechnic delay self destroying feature.
The cartridge is unpainted. The projectile has a black oxide coating. The fuze is unpainted and has nomenclature and manufacturing information stamped around its exposed portion. Manufacturing information is stamped in the base of the cartridge case.
