Description
This blast type mine is nonmetallic and has no casing. Thus, it cannot be located with an electrical mine detector. The body of the mine is molded of TNT or hexotol and is reinforced with fiberglass. The booster is integral with the main charge. A fuze well, centrally located in the top of the explosive, is fitted with a threaded plastic fuze-well insert. This insert serves as a means of securing the combination pressure spider and fuze to the mine. A cord carrying handle is affixed to the mine body.
