Description
Proximity fuze M914 is tailored for use over dense jungles where bomb burst is desired under the ungle canopy rather than in or above it. This bar type proximity fuze differs from proximity fuze M188 in that the nominal MinSAT is 3200 feet, arid instantaneous detonator M36A1 has been replaced by delay detonator DD16AO. Fuze M914, electrically initiated upon coming into close proximity with foliage, allows an additional 46 to 67 feet of bomb travel prior to bomb burst.
