This mine resembles the French antitank mine Model 1951. Except for a few fittings it is composed entirely of explosive (cast TNT reinforced with glass wool). The main charge is in three parts—a pressure plate section, a central core, and a clamping ring that holds the first two parts together. The mine has two booster charges - one located on the central axis that serves both the main fuze well and the bottom boobytrap well and the other located on a radial axis that serves the second boobytrap well. A screw plug in the center of the pressure plate gives access to the main fuze well.
The Model 26 undetectable antitank mine is laid in conventional minefields and other obstacles to damage tracks and suspension systems of armor.
