Description
This is an air-to-surface bomb with an infrared (IR) guidance module. Target acquisition is obtained from the launch aircraft. The GBU is used against heavily defended tactical targets. The GBU-15(V)2/B consists of an ADU-452A/B or B/B guidance adapter, a WGU-10/B guidance module, a WCU-8/B or A/B control module, and an MXU-724/B or A/B airfoil group attached to a 2,000 pound Mk 84, all mods, low drag general purpose bomb.
