Description
These are air-to-surface bombs with laser guidance systems. Target illumination is achieved by a laser illumination device which may be either ground mounted or carried in a target spotting aircraft. These GBUs are used against heavily defended tactical surface targets when a high degree of accuracy is required.
The guidance kit is painted olive drab. Component part designations, loading data, serial number, and date of manufacture are stenciled in black or white.
