Description
These are smoke/CN-CS hand-thrown or rifle launched grenades. The M60F grenade is used for smoke signaling applications with a burn time of 90 seconds, and the M60L grenade is used for riot control operations with a burn time of 30 to 60 seconds. Either grenade can be equipped with a rifle launching vane and firing cartridge, if required.
The canister and launching vane flash tube are olive green. Black markings on the body are for identifying the type of grenade. The launch vane fin assembly and adapter fitting are white translucent plastic. The bottom of the M60F smoke grenade canisters are painted to identify the color of smoke or white screening composition.
