The UPF pull fuze is used widely in the Soviet Army for initiating tripwire standard and. improvised mines of all kinds. It generally functions by a pull on the pull ring; but it also may be fitted with a rod projecting from the clamp top for functioning by lateral pressure or pull. The top of the fuze is, in reality, a clamp that holds the spring driven striker under tension after the safety pin is removed. The fuze is composed of three parts, which are usually assembled only at the place of use.
This fuze is used in many wooden land mines and boobytraps.
In most cases mines or charges fitted with this fuze should be detonated in place.
No information about functioning.
Nothing else to see.
