Description
The series of lethal trench mortar (minenwerfer) shells, called D Mines, was filled with pure phosgene (D-Stoff) and differed from the earlier C Mines mainly in that there was no separate container for the fill. The complete D Mine weighed 4.54 kilograms (10 pounds) and held 0.65 kilogram (1.43 pounds) of phosgene.
