Description
These are spin stabilized, gun fired, armor piercing high explosive or armor piercing high explosive tracer projectiles. The fuzes are setback and centrifugally armed, impact inertia fired, short delay, base detonating (BD) fuzes. TheDBR-2 fuze incorporates a tracer and a graze sensitive feature. The MD-8 fuze may or may not be used with a tracer. The explosive filler weight is estimated at 25% of total projectile weight.
