Description
Nike Ajax is a two stage, surface-to-air, supersonic, ground command guided, acceleration armed, liquid fuel propelled missile with a solid propellant booster. The Nike Ajax carries three warheads that are explosively connected with detonating cord leads, and two safe and arming (S and A) devices. The Nike Ajax also has a fail-safe feature in which self-destruct can be accomplished automatically or by ground command.
