Description
Training hand grenade Mk 1A1 is a nonfunctioning type used for training in handling and throwing of Fragmentation Hand Grenade Mk 2. Grenade Mk 1A1 may be used for practice in throwing hand grenades in small confined areas because it is completely inert. The grenade is used principally to improve techniques in throwing and accuracy.
The grenade body is of cast iron.
Training hand grenade Mk 1A1 has no fuze.
Safety clips are not required for these grenades.
