
The Mark I grenade was designed to provide close range, offensive, chemical capabilities.
The Mk I grenade was semi-ovoid in shape with a smooth surface. It was similar in form to the phosphorus grenade, save for the two annular corrugations on the body, near the bottom, to serve as a distinguishing mark.
This grenade did not go into production.
