Use

Ethyl bromacetate is very irritating to the eyes and nasal passages. It is considered a nonpersistent, lachrymatory agent. At concentrations of 0.04 milligrams per liter it becomes intolerable to the eyes and at a concentration of 2.30 milligrams per liter, is lethal after a 10 minute exposure time.
