Description
Incendiary bomb cluster M35 consists of cluster adapter M30 filled with 57 incendiary bombs M74A1 and fitted with a burster, a fin assembly, two fuzes, and an arming wire. The cluster is approximately 90 inches long, 16 inches in diameter, and weighs approximately 690 pounds.
Incendiary bombs M74A1 are loaded into cluster adapter M30 in 3 bundles of 19 bombs each. The bombs are arranged in the bundles in such a way that the release bar on each bomb is depressed by an adjacent bomb.
Hazardous Components
The burster consists of 19 feet of detonating cord, which is threaded through the hinge tube in the adapter when the cluster is manufactured.
Two mechanical time tail bomb Fuzes M152A1 or M908 are installed in the tail fin.
