Description
This cartridge is for use against armored targets.
The projectile consists of a steel base with an integral rotating band. A tracer is also fitted into the base. The body is of aluminum and has a steel bourrelet press fitted to it. The armor piercing core is made of tungsten carbide and is held in place inside the body by an aluminum or cast iron nose plug. An aluminum ballistic windshield is threaded to the nose plug.
