This completely inert cartridge simulates the service cartridge and is used for training in handling and loading.
The service projectile and cartridge case are simulated by a one-piece bronze or malleable iron body (M17B1). The nose end of the assembly is threaded to hold a bronze or iron plug resembling a service fuze. The base end of the body is threaded to hold a cold-drawn steel base which screws into the body. The base provides for extraction of the cartridge after loading in the gun.
No information about hazardous components.
Nothing else to see.
