Description
This cartridge is used against light armor and similar targets.
This cartridge is assembled with cartridge case M17 attached to the projectile by a circumferential crimp. A pointed steel armor-piercing cap which aids the projectile in defeat of face-hardened plate is crimped to the hard steel projectile body. There is no windshield and the body has a gently tapered nose. A small cavity in the base of the projectile holds a red tracer composition.
