Green band around the nose, brown band aft of green band. Gray body and tail.
A cast steel nose is attached to a tubular-steel body by a continuous circumferential weld and 12 plug welds. A tail cone is held to a collar by 18 plug welds. The collars fits into the after end of the body and is held there by 40 screws.
The normal tail cone has been cut off 8 3/4 inches aft of the junction with the bomb body proper and to this has been welded a 3/16 inch steel cylinder and four 1/8 inch steel hollow tail fins.
